We are seeking a Forestry Consultant within advisory services, with a focus on sustainable forest management for the forests of the future, for the Gothenburg district. Currently, the district has 15 employees spread across our two offices in Borås and Gothenburg.

The role of a Forestry Consultant is a varied job with stimulating tasks and opportunities for professional development. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting advisory activities.

We operate over large geographical areas, so the job requires that you are willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight in other locations.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks will primarily be within our advisory operations, with the current focus on sustainable forest management for the future climate. Our advisory work is largely conducted digitally via Teams, but physical field meetings are also a standard format. Other recurring tasks will include participation in projects and commissioned work. The job involves contact with forest owners, forestry companies, the general public, and other authorities. For candidates with the right background, work within cultural environments may also be relevant.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry. You must have good knowledge of forest management and forestry-related climate issues. Previous experience in forestry work is an asset. We prefer candidates with knowledge in pedagogy and digital course delivery. Education in archaeology or cultural environments is also considered an asset.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. The job requires you to be proactive and able to drive various activities, as well as work independently and in a structured manner. Building and maintaining contacts is crucial for the work. You must also have good collaboration skills.

You must have good communication skills and the ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.

You should have basic knowledge in IT/GIS.

A manual B-class driver's license is a requirement.

Our Offer to You

We offer a permanent position at 100%, starting with a 6-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting, and the start date is negotiable.

We offer placement at our office in Borås.
